There’s a straightforward quality to how the game has the player use deduction that could make it great for beginners, but veteran mystery fans will likely find it too stripped down and simplified

Case Solved: The London Files fulfills its purpose very well as a light, intelligent, and relaxed pastime. However, its replay value tends to be zero.

Case Solved: The London Files succeeds because it understands what makes solving mysteries satisfying. With the game allowing full freedom to think, with no timer or time-based penalty, it really does illuminate the feeling of solving a case, with a genuine accomplishment of pinpointing exactly who dun it!

For those who enjoy puzzles, solving the cases in Case Solved: The London Files can be quite entertaining. However, the game would benefit from a greater amount of content to provide a more substantial and satisfying experience.

Case Solved: London Files really got my brain moving. It’s nice to not have time limits or pressure of decisions. Just a relaxing set of puzzles to work your way through. The smooth jazz and 2D hand-drawn art were the icing on the top of the cake.

Case Solved: The London Files is a welcome addition to the cozy detective genre. The cases and the interactions and clue gathering are not especially challenging, but the game’s real strength comes from the closed logic puzzles. Those can be a bit mind-boggling, especially at later stages, but still very fun and satisfying to solve. If you’ve liked working as the Duck Detective or you are in the mood for a level from Logic Town, Case Solved: The London Files might just be the game for you.
