Big Walk takes fundamental and timeless video game concepts–obstacles and incentives for clearing them–and, through an intensely focused co-op experience, shapes them into something singularly rewarding, supremely mysterious, and totally unforgettable.

Big Walk is a quiet yet genius co-op experience. It sets you up with a fun interactive team-based system and just leaves you to uncover its wonders. The sense of discovery is palpable, and I was often blown away by the game's sense of scale and how it implemented progression in a seamless yet meaningful way. If you and your mates are looking for your next co-op fix, this is something special and unlike anything else out there.

Big Walk is a game that is nothing short of outstanding in its design, a co-op adventure that feels like you're 12 years old again and venturing across those fields with your buddies. Its strict reliance on communication and clever puzzle design makes it one of the most rewarding games I think I've ever played, but its technical shortcomings on the Switch 2 version do take the shine off a touch. Thankfully, it's not enough to break what is one of the most unique and intriguing games released this decade, if you're willing to learn to communicate.

Big Walk's greatest achievement is that its best moments aren't scripted, they happen spontaneously. Losing a teammate, exploring an unknown path, a silly misunderstanding, or just tinkering with a confusing tool feel every bit as rewarding as solving its most complex puzzles, and if you bring a few friends and some patience, it delivers one of the finest co-op experiences around.

One of the best games for spending time with friends. Big Walk doesn't try to limit you, doesn't force you to rush, and doesn't stress you out, but creates all the conditions for a fun and soulful time.

Big Walk is one of the biggest surprises of 2026; it’s a relatively simple premise that keeps unwrapping layers the more you play.
